My knuckle dragger, as Scott puts it, smoked last week. Makita 9227CY 10A variable speed electric polisher.
I was using it with a 7" nylon buff pad to remove soap buildup on some 20 year old Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) s and (http://maplered.com) it smoked after about 10 minutes of buffing. It went right from being nice and (http://maplered.com) cool to pouring smoke out of it. It was only three months old.
I went and (http://maplered.com) bought another one and (http://maplered.com) it started to lightly smoke after about 5 minutes so I don't think this grinder is the right one for the job.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a variable speed low rpm high amp grinder that will take the abuse? _________________ Matt Lansing, SFA Stone Innovations, Inc. Plover, WI
